1) Stripes!
Honestly, any printed or textured top will be on trend this S/S 23! I picked a striped cotton top as it is breathable and looks chic, no matter the occasion.
Tip: Contrast prints and textures with accessories, like this yellow Topshop rope bag I’ve had for awhile. If climes are hot where you are, a crochet top will do nicely too, it gives lovely texture at the same time.

2) White Tank Top!
Definitely DO NOT discard your white tank top from 2022! It goes perfectly with the denim maxi skirt, and that clean aesthetic that is still in fashion. The classic contrast of denim with white is fresh in the summertime.
Tip: Carry on the blue-white theme in accessories, like this bag from Pretty Little Thing I’ve had for awhile (see suggested options on the right). This Topshop bomber jacket, which is reversible, has been used on many occasions, and reflects the bomber jacket trend of 2023.

My favourite way to style the denim maxi skirt is to pick a bright colour to set off the denim hue. This works best if your denim skirt colour is strong, like this blue New Look skirt.
Tips: If your denim maxi skirt is white, be bold and pair it with a black or red top. If your denim maxi skirt is a bright light blue, try a hot pink top. If your denim maxi skirt is a vintage blue, grey or black, try muted colours for your top, like soft peach, rosy red or sage green.
