New Look Parachute Cargo Trousers in Stone PART ONE
I was in search of a pair of cargo trousers that I could do anything in. Ironic I know, because of its stone colour, I am crushing on all things cream this year. BUT the parachute material would mean I could squat, run around after my son and even sit down if need be, without worrying they would split. Cotton cargo trousers look uptight and literally, bursting at the seams to me! So how do these trousers hold up…heh…
These Cameo Rose Stone Cargo Joggers were the first ones flying off the shelves online (if you can picture that), so I had to order them.
My first impressions of this pair and the Urban Bliss one were poor - wait, are they just a piece of plastic - for £28?! But I realised in time that that’s what the parachute fabric is about, and they grew on me (not literally because that would be weird), and I embraced that baggy feeling…Here are the side and back pictures.
It was very difficult to choose between both pairs…
New Look also has an Urban Bliss High-Waist version on their website, but they look suspiciously the same as these ones…
I am wearing UK size 14 here and am 5 ft 3. Both pairs were too long, see PART 2 (coming soon) if you prefer fitted cargo trousers for a petite size!
Comment below and tell me which you would have picked for yourself!
Comparing the Cameo Rose and Urban Bliss side-by-side, you can immediately see that the Cameo Rose ones look more slimming. I guess they were popular because of their creamier colour, and can match light-coloured coats more easily, whereas these Urban Bliss parachute cargo trousers had a rosier tone, which flattered my skintone. They also look less creased.
