New Look Stone Parachute Cargo Trousers in UK Size 12 Regular £34.99
In Part One, I tried my usual UK size 14 parachute cargo trousers from New Look and found they were too long. Were they too big? At first, I fell in love with these New Look Stone Parachute Cargo Trousers as the colour was beautiful in their pic (see below at bottom). But the UK size 14 was definitely too long (see right pics) and too big around the waist/hips. The above and below pics in this column are the UK size 12 in Regular, they fit much better and I can squat in them too.
I didn’t keep these in the end, not because they don’t look good, but because they made my bottom look heavy (and I am already a pear shape) with the darker neutral hue. Also the colour did not match my H&M trainers…
From the back, you can see how heavy the material is, compared with Part One’s plasticky parachute cargo trousers. These ones are 100% cotton, though the pics made them look like polyester. And I wanted polyester (not because I don’t want to save the environment, but I keep my polyester clothes for much longer and wear them many more times, compared to 100% cotton items, especially those that crease upon first wash…

See how the New Look Stone Parachute Cargo Trousers in UK size 14 Regular (my usual size) are far too big at the waist and hips and much longer in length? Definitely size down if you are getting these.
Now, for the Petite Sized Cargoes at New Look…
Immediately, it is obvious that the New Look Petite Cargo Joggers are a better length for a 5 ft 3 gal like me…
As these New Look Petite Off White Leather-Look Tie Waist Cargo Joggers were 100% polyester, I was hoping they would be like the parachute material…But alas…
There are three reasons why I returned the Petite Cargo Joggers, though they fit me best and were the least creased. Firstly, the colour was Off White, not the Stone that I wanted. Secondly, the low waist meant any crop tops would expose my tummy, which defeated the purpose of wearing leather-look bottoms in cold weather…brr… Thirdly, the material was so unusual, I felt like I was wearing latex in these trousers…LOL
